Moran Mining & Tunnelling Ltd. (MMT), was formed in 1988 and continues to grow and widen its areas of expertise in the mining sector. An expanding list of satisfied clients include INCO Limited, Falconbridge Limited, Battle Mountain Gold, Inmet Mining Corporation, Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited, Kinross Gold Corporation and The Canadian Salt Company Limited.

In 1999, MMT expanded operations into the United States. This new American service centre is a compliment to Canadian Operations and provides more immediate reaction to the demands of the US mining industry.

Years of MMT experience have developed a well-trained and highly qualified labour force available and easily mobilized for a wide range of mining and construction projects, regardless of size and scope.

MMT has a fleet of excellent contract mining equipment available to complete both Track and Trackless projects of all sizes. Equipment includes: Raise Climbers, Jumbos, Scooptrams, Scissorlifts, Bolting Machines, Locomotives, Mucking Machines and Ore Cars.

MMT's founder and President is John Moran. John has over 42 years progressive experience in all aspects of underground mining. In 1969, John started raise mining as a Labourer and progressed to the roles of Wingman, Leader, Project Superintendent, Area Manager and finally President & CEO of his own company. John has consulted and provided employee training to major companies such as INCO Limited and Miramar Mining Corporation on raise mining projects.
